The Realex Payments Virtual Terminal is a tool that allows businesses to accept credit card and debit card payments over the telephone, in real time.

A stand-alone application, that is hosted on secure Realex Payments servers, the Virtual Terminal gives merchants the flexibility to accept credit card details over the telephone, while talking with their customer. There is no hardware or software that needs to be installed by the merchant on their side, the only requirement is that there is an internet connection in place to allow the merchant to authorise the credit card details.

The Virtual Terminal is also customisable, which allows businesses to collect information and details from their customers that are specific to their business, and input them in to the Virtual Terminal. All of the transactions that are processed through the application are then reported on in the online reporting tool, RealControl. As our virtual terminal is a hosted application, it can therefore alleviate some of your PCI compliance obligations.
