Dynamic Currency Converter

The process of Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) is now common in the travel sector given the high degree of currency mismatch.

DCC is an easy to implement process that retains control with the booking experience.

• It involves determining the currency of the payer and offering them the opportunity to pay in their own currency;
• DCC can be implemented across all channels and relevant payment methods
• The service may be available from your financial institution or a third party currency management specialist
• Also consider that DCC revenue on a hotel booking could be higher than the income given the large ticket size!

Finally, be sure to capture all the relevant details of any converted bookings (transaction currency and amount, FX rate and payer currency and amount) to aid reporting and query management.

Multi Currency Processing

If you wish to price products or services in multiple currencies to enhance competitiveness but don't have the resources or the desire to manage bank accounts in various currencies, then our multi-currency processing could solve your problems. Multi-currency pricing allows acces to rates on a daily basis and to effect the appropriate price in each currency.

• Cardholders will be able to choose the currency they wish to see the product or service priced in
• Authorisation will go through as normal but Realex Payments will apply that day's rate to the foreign amount and settle the base amount to the merchant's account
• There is a single base currency account. The amount of base currency received by the merchant will change on each occasion but cardholders will know exactly what is going to appear on their statements at the point of sale.

Recurring Payments

Recurring subscriptions can be processed via batch file processing as often as required either through a merchant’s current in-house systems or through Realex Payments’ Virtual Terminal, which is available immediately with no integration.
