The online marketplace continues to show strong growth as online payments firm announces turnover of €6.5 million and an additional 15 new jobs.
Realex Payments today announced revenue growth of 12% in the financial year to the end of April 2009. The year end statements show the company had turnover of €6.5 million in the financial year to the end of April 2009, up from €5.7 million the previous year.
Pre-tax profits increased by 6% reaching €721k leaving Realex Payments with accumulated profits of more than €2.5 million at the end of April last.
The company now employs 70 people in Ireland, Great Britain and France. In addition the company currently has 15 vacancies advertised on its website, as it continues to expand its operations in Ireland and abroad.
Key highlights:

- The company is signing approximately 110 new clients per month;
- Realex Payments has processed payments in excess of €6Billion this year, €726 million was processed in September alone;

Announcing the results Realex Payments founder and CEO Colm Lyon said “We are delighted to announce such strong year end results. Lyon is still the majority shareholder in the firm, owning 76.6 per cent of its shares at the end of April last. “We have a new three year growth strategy in place that calls for ambitious plans to grow and scale our business, both in Ireland and particularly abroad and as a result we have an urgent need to recruit an additional 15 new roles in the company” Lyon continued.
