Realex Payments have announced a new partnership with m-commerce platform provider The MoBank Group that will see the Realex Payments Gateway available to merchants who enter the mobile commerce space using the MoPowered platform.

This partnership will see Realex Payments’ gateway available in a whole new way to their clients, and opens up new avenues of business for them in what is a rapidly growing area. Mobile commerce is fast becoming an essential element in a multi-channel retail strategy that has the ability to uplift overall sales by more than 5%. Merchants are increasingly seeing up to 15% of web traffic coming from mobile devices and 36% of the UK now has a smartphone.  In common with Realex Payments, all The MoBank Group platforms are PCI-DSS Compliant and 100% compatible with 3D Secure.

The MoPowered platform from The Mobank Group allows brands to have a fully developed mobile strategy with an application on all the major operating systems and a mobile-optimised website. It processed over £20m of transactions in the last 12 months and is forecast to process £50m in 2011. Realex currently have over 4,000 clients and look forward to working with clients in the mobile space following this announcement.
