Primary Accountabilities
Realex Payments continue to experience rapid growth across the organisation and in line with this we are looking to develop our sales capacity in the UK. Based out of Hammersmith, London the sales function is split between direct sales staff and financial institution (FI) sales staff. Generating sales through developing new and leveraging existing relationships with FIs in the UK is absolutely vital to our success – this is the function of this role and the successful candidate would join our FI sales team as a sales executive.
Reporting to the UK General Manager, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of our offering, the ability to effectively explain every aspect of the service and to be able to map this to a prospect’s requirements and finally, but vitally the ability to be able to both maintain and develop new relationships with the sales teams of the FIs.
As Realex Payments is growing rapidly and aggressively recruiting across the all areas of the organization (currently 55 people), the successful candidate will be joining at an early stage of growth and will have extensive opportunity to develop within the organisation.
Duties and Specific Responsibilities
A background in a customer facing role will be an important selection element of our selection criteria as this role will entail a large degree of interaction both with prospects and partners.
Specifically the duties include:
- To develop existing and new relationships with the area sales managers of the FIs with which we work – this will include networking, sales meeting attendance, social etc. The candidate will be expected to pro-actively perform this task demonstrating high levels of initiative.
- To develop and follow a plan that will give you the greatest levels of exposure with the FI which you are assigned. This will cover entire UK FI sales teams.
- To attend prospect meetings along with the FIs where appropriate and to aid them in successfully closing the deal.
- To demonstrate the highest level of presentation and documentation skills needed to complete this role.
- The individual needs to be highly motivated and driven towards achieving/exceeding their targets.
- Excellent tracking and reporting of key performance indicators on a weekly/monthly basis will be required.
- The individual must maintain a consistently high level of industry knowledge at all times.
The ideal candidate will probably have a third level or professional qualification and have experience in a customer facing role. In addition and while not a not a specific requirement, a general knowledge and appreciation of the following would be highly advantageous:
- The payments industry.
- Internet technologies and security issues.
