Background:

Realex Payments is a leading European payment processing company with over 3,000 clients processing over €4B per annum. We provide a suite of services around card processing and fraud management, processing of direct debits and credits, currency conversion and payment reconciliation. 

Realex Payments has built a strong reputation as a specialist processor of direct debits and currently provides a range of services.  We will be enhancing our existing services in addition to bringing additional services to a wider market.  These new services are focused on providing merchants and financial institutions with SEPA compliant solutions.    

Primary Accountabilities:

In order to deliver on our services roadmap we require an industry expert to drive delivery of a range of business payments service enhancements. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of payment processing specific to direct debits and credits. The focus will be on execution and on the delivery of enhancements, new services, new payment methods and payment applications that provide real value to our customers.  

This role will be based in our Product Management function which has responsibility to ensure the full and “whole service” is delivered across all core processes of the business including Customer Operations, Sales and Marketing and IT.  The Business Payments area of Product Management is responsible for our direct debit and direct credit services offered to our high volume business and corporate customers who have a requirement for processing direct debits and direct credits. 

Expert and in-depth knowledge of business payments is essential - knowledge of the EU Payment Services Directive and the overall SEPA framework are essential for this role.  In addition experience in managing business focused projects to delivery of a full service product would be a distinct advantage. 

Duties and Specific Responsibilities/Experience:

The Business Payments Analyst will be an authoritative resource on direct debit schemes in Ireland, the UK and other European states. Documenting and communicating a clear vision and road map for the suite of business payment services, applications, certifications with business systems and markets in which we operate is central to this role. In addition the analyst will:

• Be an expert in all aspects of business payments. Passionate about delivering innovation while clearly defining and documenting business requirements and ensuring complete delivery of each requirement;
• Have a proven track record in the delivery of end to end solutions that provides business opportunity;
• An excellent communicator in written and oral terms;
• A quality professional who is very comfortable in delivering business presentations.

Qualifications and experience:

The ideal candidate will probably have a third level or professional qualification and at least five years experience in a senior business role in, or dealing with, business payments.
